G’day folks

Well it’s been great to be back out amongst it doing some singing and driving and catching up.  I left home on September 26 headed for Texas Country music Festival where I appeared for the first time. Most enjoyable thanks Texas.
On Sunday morning I took off for Mildura for an 1100K day arriving in Mildura for my first show on Monday.
Fabulous Mildura - as usual - catching up with other artists and many folks from down south and around that I don’t see often. After Mildura I headed for Nhill to get a run in a sheep truck with my friends, Graeme and Margaret Bone – had a great two days there with lots of food for thought.  Next off to Timboon to catch up with my old travelling mates Robert and Edris Rhodes who took me to see a whale at Warnambool – Yay! I then headed off for some tripping around – across from Queenscliff to Sorrento on the ferry then Mornington Peninsula for a few days camping on the foreshore.
A big Thanks to Martesse and Frank Hance at the Lang Lang songwriting retreat where I sat out the bad weather, wrote some songs and burnt half a tonne or more of firewood. A great night was had by all at Morwell Country music club where I appeared as guest artist on the way past. From there I headed the long way back to Queensland, camping my way around the Victoria, Nsw coast line, songwriting bush walking and sightseeing. Stayed at Tuggerah Lakes with my mate Baz, just to top off a great trip. Talk about a dream run and thanks so much to all on the way around who helped and offered home comforts.
So after all the song writing I am looking forward to making a new album soon along with a couple of other little projects I have in mind. Hope to catch you all down the track.

Cheers
Anita Ree
